Over BD 3000 Raised for Family of Jaafar Abdali

Members and staff of the Royal Golf Club competed in a new golf tournament which raised over BD 3,000 for the family of recently deceased staff member Jaafar Abdali.

Jaafar, a valued member of the Club’s Golf Operations team, died suddenly while playing in a football match in his home village of Eker on 7th April. He was just 32 years of age and leaves behind a wife and two young children.

“I would like to thank all those who donated to this very worthy cause,” commented Adam Dutson, Royal Golf Club Tournament Coordinator. “Jaafar was a very popular member of our team and is greatly missed by everyone who knew him. He was the main bread-winner in his family and I hope the money raised will help ease his family’s struggle at this difficult time. I would like to give special thanks to our ladies section, the Royalists and Silver Stars social golf groups and Behbehani Brothers LLC, who all kindly contributed to the cause.”

Anyone wishing to donate money to help Jaafar’s family is invited to contact the Royal Golf Club on telephone +973 17 750777.
