Since opening our doors on 1st January 2009, business has been brisk and the Royal Golf Club has successfully hosted many prominent tournaments including the Gulf Air International Pro-Captain Challenge and the annual IADC Golf Day, one of our largest one-day tournaments boasting well over 200 competitors. Sir Nick Faldo also recently confirmed that the Royal Golf Club will once again play host venue to the prestigious Faldo Series Asia Middle East qualifier for the second consecutive year on 7th and 8th October 2010.

The announcement in July that the Club has been selected as the host venue for a new tournament on the European Tour calendar is already causing great excitement in Bahrain. The inaugural “Volvo Tournament of Champions” will take place in January 2011 and will be the season starting event of the Race to Dubai.

Both of the Royal Golf Club’s golf courses have recently been renovated ahead of the coming golfing season. Please note that although both courses are open as normal, the grass tees at the driving range and the short game practice area at the first tee of the Wee Monty course are temporarily closed. Both will re-open on Thursday 2nd September.
